Workshops and events
We run practical workshops for engineering teams and students. Nothing is scheduled this quarter, and the recordings from the last run are available in the meantime.
Nothing scheduled right now
The last series ran through 2025 and we have not set dates for the next one. Rather than leave a page of expired events up, we would rather say that plainly and tell you how to hear about the next date first.
What the workshops cover
Practical sessions with an exercise rather than a lecture. Each runs two to three hours and assumes attendees can already write code.
- Linux server hardening, working on a live instance
- Cloud fundamentals, deploying something real rather than a diagram
- Application security, finding actual bugs in a deliberately broken app
- Working with AI tooling in a development workflow
- Business intelligence, building a dashboard from a messy dataset
Recordings
Recordings and exercise materials from the previous series are available on request. They are not gated behind a form, and we will send the whole set rather than one at a time.
Running one for your team
We run these privately for engineering teams and for colleges, tailored to what the group already knows. That is usually more useful than a public session because the exercises can use your own stack.
Questions we get asked
No date is set. We run them in bursts when there is a topic worth three hours of people's time, rather than to a calendar. Join the list and you will get the date before it is announced anywhere else, which in practice is a few weeks of notice.
Yes, and most of our sessions now are private ones. They are adapted to your stack and to what the group already knows, which makes the exercises considerably more useful than a generic version. Tell us the team size and what you want them to be able to do afterwards.
